I'm going to be staying in Tampa Bay in Florida, certainly where Busch Gardens is. But I'd like to visit DisneyWorld too, are they located anywhere near each other?

Regardless of what others have written, the drive from Tampa to Disney isn't bad. Disney is on the south side of Orlando, so you don't really drive TO Orlando. If you are planning on doing the trip on a week day, then plan to leave very early (to miss the traffic of people trying to get to work) or have a nice breakfast somewhere and get on the road about 9am. You'll get to Disney by 10am-10:30am.

If you haven't already booked a hotel, think about staying in a hotel in Lakeland. It's about 1/2 way between the two cities (not really much to do there, and I doubt there's a 4-star hotel) or book on the north side of Tampa.

You will find that Bush Gardens will take a full day to see and ride everything. Since Bush Gardens is owned by the same corporation that owns Sea World, you can probably get a good deal at SW. You might want to go there also (again, plan for a FULL day.)

Disney, on the other hand, can take a WEEK to get through if you want to visit each park and see everything. You might want to go to Disney's website and check which park you want to go to before you set out for your visit! It's worth some pre-Disney visit planning!

Have fun!

Road construction is finished in between Tampa and Disney on I-4 but is ongoing at either end.I-75 joins I-4 nearby Busch so there is not much delay. At night there is less speed enforcement so I do not suggest using it then because it is dangerous. If the roads become too dangerous people will have second thoughts about driving if every trip is a toss of the coin.Automakers would go out of business so we have police keep their product viable. The roads are patrolled enough to keep people from giving up cars but not to protect the public safety. The police have given that up to work off-duty protecting symbolic targets.

Disney World is about 90 min from Tampa. You can't miss it the signs are very good.

When I was in Tampa we made sure to rent a hotel room if we were going to Disney. We had so much fun at Disney we didn't want to leave, and when we left the park at midnight we were far to tired to drive an hour and half back to Tampa.

If you don't mind leaving Disney early I guess you could do the drive back, but we could never bring ourselves to do that.

No. Florida is many attractions and those two are in two different cities, so it will be worthwhile for you to rent a vehicle to drive around.
Disneyland Florida is in Orlando.
The Busch gardens is in Tampa, about 1 hr east from Orlando.

It is approximately an hour and a half drive from Tampa to Disney World in Orlando. It can be done though! Just get a good night's sleep the night before and leave early to get to the parks when they open (typically around 9am).

About 1 1/2 hours away from each other. Busch is in Tampa and is west of WDW which is in Lake Buena Vista.
