Well it sounds like he is jealous and wants to be in control. You should try to talk to him and say hey look I have known her for so many years. We are just friends and I am not going to take her away from you. And if he doesn't believe it then maybe your friend should tell him. And if that doesn't work, then you know he wants to be in control and not let her have any friends. I would tell your friend watch out and be careful.

He feels threatened by you hmmm are you cute handsome funny ? then if you are that might be the case if you and her talk a lot he might think that you could steal her away from him you should talk to him and her if he doesnt want you to talk to her than he probably doesnt trust her i advice you to talk to him and make him understand because its not fair

he obviousl feels threatened by ya.so ya need to reasure him!try and make an effort with him as well.e.g a few of ye go out drinking.have a gd chat with him,buy him a drink.he will soon feel like an fool then

if your best friend allows him to restrict you from speaking to her, then your best friend doenst sound like a very good friend in the first place. you need to call her when her boyfriend isnt around and tell her you feel that hes trying to separate you two. it might be that her boyfriend is threatening her and she is frightened, in which case she needs professional help immidiently

It is up to your friend to assure her BF he has nothing to worry about. She can make him feel OK about your friendship.
