i don't see why not.In this day and age your lucky not to get shot saying merry x-mas to people...ugh..anyway..that sounds very pc and you are not making assumptions to how others care to celebrate their holidays.Furthermore that is a great ice breaker for a conversation and learning more about those around you,if you so chose to

It's not sensitive to people to generalize their holiday out of existance. The whole point of a holiday is to comemorate a particular event or ideal. Suppose instead of Martin Luther King Jr. Day we just call it racial rememberance day so that people who oppose civil rights won't be left out. That would defeat the whole point of the day.

No kidding. really? Thanks for the trivia. How did I miss that? Gotta reread the darn thing again.

Anyway, please just say Merry Christmas. It is short and it conveys all your good wishes, and doesnt attract too much attention. That whole entire sentence you said, will invite a gaping look and deafening silence from the sober ones or giggles , chortles, guffaws from the inebriated ones.

Here is to all the good wishes among mankind, cheers.

It's cow-towing to people who want to repress your religious beliefs, but acceptable.

Now, quit being yellow, look them in the eye and say "Merry Christmas"
