The Village Idiot is a traditional figure in literature and TV, yet the Idiot also exist in real life. What would life be without the Village idiot? Would it be better or worse?

Apparently every village needs an idiot. Somewhere in Texas a village is missing theirs.

NO village needs an idiot. However, every idiot needs a village. And, as there are many more idiots than there are villages, every village is bound to have at least one idiot.

i'm not sure about every village, but there is one in Texas. the idiot has taken an 8 year leave of absence from the village to pursue a leadership job in washington, d.c.

Whether each village needs one or not - probably not. Unfortunately most villages have "at least" one idiot, if not more.
