You decided to run 60 miles from your college town to your hometown just for the fun of it. Everything looks the same as it does in real life, you stay out of the way for the vehicles, while you run on the shoulder of the highway. (I noticed in the dream that none of the cars were coming my way but always going past me the same direction I was going)

You also meet a really cute guy and you and him hold hands and you guys sprint across the highway.

Next thing you know you're doing a music video with him singing a pop song with him.

Before that you guys were talking to his agent on the phone whren you came to a dam with water below and a sandy road with rails.

What does this mean?>

Merry Christmas

Btw I'm a woman and 22

My dream related to nothing in my waking life during that day

Running can mean all sorts of different things. You have to look at in the context of what you were dreaming about. Along with everything else you are dreaming about. I usually go to this one webpage to look up my dreams. It's pretty helpful and if you look at what is going on in your life it can sometimes make sense. And other times it means nothing at all.

Freud and others decided that everyone's dreams used the same lexicon -- that running in a dream meant the same to everyone, for example. In my experience, that doesn't seem to be true. Dreams have to be evaluated as a whole and fit into how you interpret the world. Gayle Delaney had a good system in which you basically explain elements of your dreams as if to an alien from another planet. In the midst of explaining, your prejudices and perspectives come out more than you might think. For example, as a hypnotherapist, I often ask my clients to describe a plate or dish of their favorite food to assess what their dominant senses are. Many will talk about how it looks or its texture or how it makes them feel, but they will not mention its smell or taste.

There is also some correlation between what is happening in your body as you sleep and what's happening in your dream. If you for some reason need to move your legs in your sleep, your subconscious may incorporate that into your dream as running.

Running could symbolize escaping something (not necessarily what you were running from in the dream). If you have a very analytical mind, perhaps you feel you have to experience traveling from one site to another in your dreams, where others might just do the dream equivalent of teleporting.

And often we incorporate things from the previous day into our dreams as our mind tries to take the down time to organize the 60,000 bits of sensory information you've gained that day. Maybe you watched a music video and/or saw a photo or movie of a dam?
