Just in case.....but if I delete them, does that mean that I can't go on certain websites, such as eBay, and will I be able to get them back?

Also, even when I go to Clear Private Data>Clear cookies, I still see tracking cookies appar. Thank you for your time!

Tracking cookies you need not. Download cookies you need. If you visit e-bay, NY Times, Yahoo Games, you are going to need cookies for those pages to load quickly. If you have no cookies for them, they will take longer to load. And they will install new cookies. As far as tracking cookies for ads, those could be deleted. Nevertheless, a lot of web sites you put them in your folder without you knowing about it. So you have to delete that file at least once a week, if you don't want any tracking cookies.

The trick is to decide which are "tracking" cookies and which ones are harmless cookies that make revisiting a site more pleasurable.

For example, when you visit your bank site and it recognizes your preferences, do you want to delete the cookie that makes that possible?
