it's eczema, but Claritin works pretty well, if you can't afford it try Tavist-d 24 hour or Claritin for hives, those are usually a lot cheaper. you could also take Claritin for children it's pretty cheap as well though you may have to take two I think it's like half-dose. Be careful with the generic Claritin though, you get what you pay for; I have allergies and the cheaper stuff you'll find at the Dollar Store or Big Lots may only work for like 6 to 8 hours, as opposed to 24. but my old lady has eczema and it works wonders for her.
topical treatments work OK but they're only addressing the symptoms from the outside, and are typically good for about a half hour or so. you might also want to try Benadryl, generic or name brand, it's only good for like 3 to 4 hours, depending on the severity of the eczema, but if you don't mind falling asleep it's pretty effective.

I think you are talking about that skin disease...If you are keep it moisturized and avoid extremely hot water...I have it and I use a medicated cream from my doc. It keeps it under control, but I don't think it will ever go away completely....I have had for as long as I can remember and I am 29
