Invasion implies a loss of life and a struggle -
As with the Welsh, the Irish integrated and traded with them, so technically they were not invaded.
The druid and Celtic systems were familiar to the Romans, a worship of the earth etc. and they considered those that didn't integrate to be barbaric, savages.
You also have to consider the Irish sea between Wales and Ireland which has one of the highest tide exchanges and can be a very rough sea to navigate.

The Romans were never able to consolidate their powers in Britain. They had to beuild a Hadrian's Wall to keep the Celts from what is now Scotland from invading. Plus with invasions from the Huns and the Germanic tribes weakened them...they were in no position for further conquests since they were on the defense on many of their frontiers. Also their supply lines must have been getting fairly stretched out. Britain was already on the outskirts of the empire and no where near the "Core" Roman provinces.

Hadrian's Wall grew to become into to no longer save out the Picts? it sort of looks like various paintings to construct and strengthen a wall with squaddies just to declare "this is not well worth going extra suitable." certainly yet another Emperor could attempt, if he had the money. Did Hadrian know there grew to become into no longer something in Scotland well worth taking, or did he basically assume? No, it is going to've been outfitted as coverage against an invasion. As for the Romans no longer invading eire, via Hadian's time the Empire grew to become into unfold too in each and every single place to soundly patrol it. this is why the partitions, to guard against invasion (or decelerate the invaders) because of the fact there have been no longer adequate squaddies. and the way docile have been the conquered Britons? An invader likes to know his decrease back is (and his aspects are) secure in the previous he conquers extra suitable. And information from the capital grew to become into tricky to get on the frontier. It takes time, adult adult males, a deliver and horses to deliver a call for for troops, funds and different needs and for the Emperor or the Senate to deliver decrease back a "No! What for? Do you think of we've funds to waste on invasions with the precarious subject in Germania?"

They probally did not invade Ireland because they were more focused on their arch enemies Carthage and did not find it neccesary to invade Ireland. Rome fought 3 Puinc Wars against Carthage and it took much manpower to beat generals such as Hannibal. Plus while the Romans did have the sea power to sail to and capture Ireland they were more devoted to centralizing their power around the Mediterranean Sea of the "Roman Lake".

the roman empire has conquered in just 1 century a big part of europe:gallia(which caesar conquered),hispania, thrace, and they even came to britannia.they conquered the southern part, but then they stopped the conquest because the empire was already too big,and it was very difficult to guard,to protect.the comanders of the legions were gaining their soldiers trust, making of them their own army, and they werent listening to the emperor anymore.some of this comanders even came to rome, and fought the emperor's army, wanting to replace the emperor.
the main cause of the falling of the roman empire was the anarchy.that's why they havent gone farest to ireland

There was nothing there for them, there was no minerals or natural resources they could exploit, why would they? They only invaded Britian
because Scotland had more muscles (pearls) than the rest of Europe put together.
