I think both, some people are really good at asking and enjoy a lot the answers they get, others like it better to answer. I think it works both ways and you choose whichever you like the most.

I love it when I answer a question and then get fed back via IM or e-mail, as well asking questions is fun too, because you get fed back on a question that made you bang your head against the wall! :)
