I have a mac and use safari if that has anything to do with anything.

You notice that Pencil looking thing to the left of the yahoo search bar, click on it and you should see Clear Search History

Another option, albeit manual and a little time consuming, is to type in the search box each letter of the alphabet and numbers 1-9, one at a time. Then you highlight (not select!!!) the first result and hold down Shift + Delete until the entire row is gone. Example:

Type "a" in the box and highlight the first item in the drop-down menu. Hold down Shift + Delete until the entire row is gone. Repeat with all numbers and letters.

Safari has the same basic settings as any other browser, just delete the history, cookies, and saved files.
