Dear Friend (hopefully another HP fan, like me!!),
JK Rowling emphatically stated in one of her interviews that she had lived about 16 years with the boy wizard. Now with a family to look after, she has decided to discontinue the Harry Potter series. She wants to spend more time with her children. With the popularity of Harry Potter in the air, the only way to finish the seventh book, is to give our favorite hero a dramatic amd memorable death. JK Rowling's books speak a lot of death and the bitter truths of life. To JK, the Harry series is too precious to be continued by a second person. Her work is her work- and she wants to make sure that no one will be able to deface the masterpiece she spent 16 eventful years carving into a beautiful statue. If Harry dies, the book becomes more precious to the reader and there is an invisible touch of magic to the book. When we loose something so wonderfully precious, the attachment towards it is greater. If the series continues, there will be no end to it, and people may get bored with the book, and send hate mail to JK, the genius. So my conclusion is YES- Harry Potter is gonna die in the 7th book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, whether we like it or not!
According to some site (I don't remember which) the 7th book is scheduled for launch somewhere from 7th July to mid July, 2006.
Hope you are looking forward to read the 7th book!

MAY GOD BLESS YOU!

JK Rowling probably only had two possibilities in ending the book. The first one is have a great ending that somehow 'ends' Harry Potter without killing him (for example, he becomes a muggle so that the story basically ends). The other choice, of course, is to kill him. Personally, I prefer the first choice. Since JK Rowling said she is working on the 'scenes'; those are probably her last ones since she gave out the title (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows). We can therefore assume that it will come out late-summer to fall. It probably won't come out midsummer because the Harry Potter movie is coming out on July 13th and it will be just crazy if the dates are too close together.

I doubt Harry will die (it's a children/teenager series). Rowling hasn't set a release date, but she's named it Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and it probably won't be out until July or so. About the same time as the Order of the Phoenix makes it to theaters.
