What a bizarre comment - the Liberals made college unaffordable? Are you serious? Since when do Liberals do anything to help the rich? It was the Republican controlled Congress that has refused over and over to allow any increase in the college loan programs. Pell and Stafford were liberals, dude! And it was the Liberals who created the Community College systems and the State Universities. You really have a very bizarre idea of what Liberal and Conservative mean. If it was up to the Conservatives, there wouldn't be any colleges for anyone but the "rich massa's"
If you can get into a good college with that ditzy attitude, then thank the liberals for the loans and grants that make it possible. If you don't qualify for a loan, thank the Congress of the last ten years that shaved away the funds.

Blame whoever you like, but check out who passed what and who voted on funding what programs first. It is surprising who gets blamed for what programs. The most rapid increases in tuition and reserved placements for foreign students has been under the recent "conservative" government. But, yes not everybody with the marks or interest can afford it and it is getting worse, not better. The problem is not just higher fees, it is also the reduction in earning oppoutunities for students. Summer and part time work does not begin to cover costs anymore. It is still possible but it is not simple.

I have a new idea: Work!!!
I worked two jobs for a degree, and I am not particularly brilliant.
If I did it, and upon graduation had no debts, anyone else can, too.
Liberals? How do liberals make college unaffordable?
Republicans are going to spend an estimated 2 trillion bucks
on their war. I always thought Republicans were Conservative.
But, as I said I am not particularly brilliant. Happy New Year.
Plan for a degree, BA, in the coming year. Luck!

fake premise. Republicans. with their "silver bullet" mentality that revolves round on the spot gratification do not realize the idea of passing initial legislations, and conserving it with the help of administration. they are continually searching for the "be all end all", that would not exist. Medicare is in a consistent state of overhaul, as should be the health care invoice. # 1965 — PL 89-ninety seven Social safe practices Act of 1965, organising Medicare reward # 1980 — Medicare Secondary Payer Act of 1980, prescription drugs insurance extra # 1988 — PL one hundred-360 Medicare Catastrophic insurance Act of 1988 # 1989 — Medicare Catastrophic insurance Repeal Act of 1989 # 1997 — PL one hundred and 5-33 Balanced funds Act of 1997 # 2003 — PL 108-173 Medicare Prescription Drug, progression, and Modernization Act

Elitists know this fact and many of them wish to keep it that way.
I had to put myself through a doctoral degree with my own abilities to work as a,air cond. repair gofer, a part-time shoe salesman, a Jr. high school teacher and finally I went into scientific research and later a college professor

I couldn't afford college, either; my parents gave me nothing for college.
So, I worked my way through and took out loans as I needed them. I now hold a Master's degree.
My younger sisters did the same (one Master's; two Bachelor's).
My message to you: stop whining. If we could do it, so can you.
