i just got an ipod video for christmas and the battery was dying really quickly so i turned it off and when i turned it on in an hour it was dead. I had half battery left and it was dead. i think i turned it off wrong?

To turn an iPod off, press and hold the Play/Pause button for a second or two

i dont own an ipod but ive used some before. you either press the button in the middle for three or four or the play button for three to four seconds the just put the lock feature so it won't turn back on until you want it to.

What you need to do even before you turn your iPod on, is charge it compleltey!!
Then to turn it off you hold onto the on/off button.
