Basically what I'm trying to do is make a recording to my computer with a acoustic guitar. I know nothing about this stuff. I want to sing and play my guitar and record it on the computer and burn a cd of it. This is all I have a computer, acoustic guitar, and voice. No cords or microphone yet. What do I need to accomplish this task? Also after i record the music in the computer is there a program that allows you to play what you recorded and then play that and record along with a new sound. Please let me know if you can help anyone.

Buy a cd burner for your PC if you don't have one already, get a mic, and a good surround sound speakers. Then buy the Nero program to record your music and burn on a cd. You can even make a picture cover to burn on your cd and make your own video too. Nero has all kinds of things you do as far as recording and burning cd's or dvds.
