Unfortunately, yes. He died at 7:39 a.m. Christmas morning in at Atlanta, GA hospital. Music has lost a truly great artist.

Yes, he died of heart failure at 1:45am at Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta Georgia. He died on Christmas Day.
