RAM is considered volatile memory. This means that when you shut down your system everything that is stored in RAM is gone. RAM is used to access programs quickly and can locate any data in the same amount of time, unlike your HD which has to migrate to where the data is stored on it. The more programs you have open at any given time, the more RAM you use. It is normal when having programs running to have less RAM available. What you are expressing above is normal and nothing to worry about. 760 MB is a decent amount of RAM to have on your system. You could need more depending on what you use your computer for. Things that are very graphical in nature use more ram. Hope this helps.

It's okay. 760 ram is good for internet, playing music... etc. If you wish to video edit, or play high-graphic games, then consider upgrading to at least 1 GB ram.

It is normal to have about 200 to 325mb of RAM used. If more, that could mean you have too many heavy duty programs running or lots of spyware and of that sort.
