I like to write, just for fun (won`t be published) and, I can`t think about anything else to write about. Can someone give me some ideas, please. All of them are appreciated.
Give me as many as you can think of.

ok ok

Let me try to fill your mind with some topics...

If your heart is kind, soft, tender and innocent, write something about kids. Think how innocent they are. Each like a little bud of rose, blooming among a world of thornes...Think the way how sweetly they smile. think how their eyes glow with the light of God.
think how serene would be the things they see, their sweet little dreams.

Now if you are a bold hearted and have enough courage to capture wild things in your pages, write about soldiers, their life, terrorism and its seeds of evil, how they turn the world into a cold blooded sea, how they blast innocent hearts in street and spoil the glory of sun and burn our eyes.

Now if you have a boy friend/girl friend/husband/wife, write of love. and it is the sweetest thing you can write. Have a journey on the wings of blissful dreams and imaginations. See how wonderful the world is when you are with your partner. How every hour bloom to happiness. And as you keep on thinking so, a tear drop of bliss shall wet your eyes...

If you have a heart to criticize and mock, write on politics. How many a politicians mimic to be good and fool poor people. Or write on an ideal system of goverment. Oh! Wait! That may be so boring I think.

Now, if you don't have interest in the above subjects, write about me. How an unknown man on Christmas day helped you to find a subject to write. Even when he was busy and lost in dreams, he had a heart to help you with good ideas to write.

Wish You A Merry Christmas and A Wonderful NewYear*
Have good and merry times with your pen*

From reading your profile, I assume you are very young which is good because all your memories should be fairly fresh and easily retrieved. Think about this.... you said you believe in God ( bless you, dear heart ) and as a believer, you might believe in miracles. Miracles do not have to be events that shake the world but can be quiet events that alter the way we perceive the world. Can you remember the first time you experienced such a miracle? I'm talking about an experience you just know was God sent to help you deal with a problem such as loneliness, fear, anger, dread or something similar. We have all had these experiences but sometimes it takes a bit of reflection and some self-examination to recognize them. Today is Christmas, the miracle of miracles....try to retrieve a significant Christmas memory and turn it into your story.

Well it depends on what types of books you write about....science fiction, horror, autobiographies..

I like science fiction and fictional biographies...like i had one idea about a mongolian child whose family was killed by a mercenary who was growing in power, and during the boy's childhood the mercenary trained him in all arts of all kinds of swords and techniques, and then threw him in gladiator games for money, the boy was branded with a tribal brand on his face, and his only goal in life was to one day escape and kill the mercenary. So at one point he escapes, and of course during this time of medieval upheaval and wars he became known as the man of 1000 swords, he saves on village from pillagers, and still goes on a quest to kill the mercenary, who during his youth became fond of and respected because of his heart and skill, and so even in the end after he finally kills the mercenary in a battle for emperorship, he had this compassion for him. It's a bit complicated but that's the idea

Or talk about something with morality...like a boy or girl who never did anything wrong, who had a heart of gold and gave to everyone even at child hood, and everyone thought was special because the child was just never...'bad'. Then he grew up and dealt with the world and it's sufferage and even amidst that did great things..and go from there.

Or make up a theory..like suppose the answer to why god let all the chaos and suffering go into the world is because he let satan take god's place , so that when everyone turned from god and looked to something else it proved god's point that pride and worship wasn't the way it should be run, and then all this other stuff happens and the aftermath of that.

OR you can create a story that has a suprise ending like night shamalayan (however his name is spelled), like someone who was investigating a homicide killer, only in the end to find he was chasing after himself because he was schizophrenic, and the murders were all from him and the suspense from that.

WELL you wanted ideas, i just threw em out there..and involved a few genres..so..HAVE AT IT!

I always recommend looking for ideas for a short story or book by writing down odd thoughts or observations that pass through your mind.

I've read that Tolkien started "The Lord of The Rings" while he was in trench in WWI, after the phrase ''Somewhere a Hobbit lives in a Hobbit hole" passed through his mind, and he decided to look into it further.

In a similar light, someone once pompously offered to pray for me, and I told them to Pray For Me At Your Own Risk. I developed my answer into a published short story, later developed the short story into a monologue in a stage play which was then produced, and then adapted the stage play into a screenplay which is scheduled for production by an independent film maker. Eventually, I'll turn my answer into a novel.

This is the only way I can arrange a contact: There is a lady named 'Sunshine' who regularly posts a set of circumstances, be they song names or TV quotes, inviting people to write a short story incorporating those names or quotes. It is quite interesting and focuses the mind. Now, how do you get to her: Click on my avatar and then my questions and answers. click on my answers, then best answers and lo and behold, you would think she was my sister with the number of best answers she has given me. Try it by regularly hitting her name and looking up her questions. Hope you do join in - it can be fun........... Good luck.
