that is not good at all. i assume that child is in the hospital or at least i hope so. obviously that child has some sort of lung condition. good luck

Something could be wrong with the lungs, filled with fluid or something. Or the baby could have a heart defect where the blood isn't being circulated properly, this is what's wrong with my sister. She was born with asplenia syndrome including major heart defects and her O2 level is in the low 80's all the time. Have any more questions just give me an e-mail.

a breathing problem of some sort, when my baby girl was sick and in the hospital for bronchitis her levels were really low too....make sure the baby is under a doctors care :)

Could be asthma or pneumonia? If there is respiratory problems it makes it harder to get the right amount of oxygen. I would be certain that the child is never around any 2nd hand cigarette smoke,also.
