Recently when I try to access the web nothing happens. my home page shows up, addressbar ect.. but the rest is just a white screen. There are four user accounts on my computer and this happens on all but the most recent one. i was thinking that this could be the problem and deleting it could resolve it, because i tried everything else. any help would be greatly appreciated.

our connection was messed up by our virus protection...defender pro, it had slowly blocked us from all internet activity.

Can you surf at all on the one account? Have you tried other web sites? Are you sure you have a connection to the internet? Your browser may only be loading cached content. Start/run/cmd/ping yahoo.com. Replies look like this:
Reply from 66.94.234.13: bytes=32 time=51ms TTL=52
if that works then go into your internet security settings in Norton, McAfee etc and reduce security to low and try it. Be sure and jack your security back up if that doesn't work. If it works on low try medium.

have you downloaded any new wallpaper or screensavers? or any new program to "improve" the computer? spyware, anti virus, etc.... i notice that when i download screensavers from places like Freeze.com my computer always goes whacky on me . i get a blank screen like you or it slows down my computer, and it doesnt let me do normal things on the computer. so if you have uninstall them and then do a complete sweep on your computer then emty all files. this should fix the problem. i just had to it this morning! GOOD LUCK!!!

run a norton antivirus scan through out ur computer or just defragment your computer
