My teddy bear hamster was just recently sick, i took him to the vet and when i got him back, i noticed that some of his fur was longer than other parts and it appears to be ruffled in some places near his tail. He looks like he has wings coming off his side. Is that normal?

I have a teddy bear hamster and that is normal. Ours did it as well and after a week or so she was back to normal. She has done it a few times since I have had her and its perfectly normal. Don't worry.

your hamster is o.k. ours lokked like alittle dust mop with his long furry sides and butt. i guess that's why they are called teddy bears, cause they are so cute and furry.
