Ewww....It sounds like a dead baby. Hey, wanna hear a joke? Okay, whats worse than a dead baby in a bottle? A dead baby in three bottles! Ha, ha, ha!!! I crack myself up!

It sounds to me like a lot of endometrial tissue. This is the lining of your womb which a fertilized egg would attach to and draw nutrients from. Some women have more tissue than blood - some have more blood than tissue.

Could also be blood clots from the tissue tearing away and shedding. As long as the period is not prolonged and you haven't got a fever you should be alright.

Has the pain become more intense since these symptoms have started? If so, I would DEFINITELY see your doctor about it.

Regardless, you should be seeing your doctor every year to have a pelvic exam and pap test. This is the best way to detect problems before they become serious.

This may be of help:

To help your doctor help you, please consider using a menstrual calendar. This is an example of a menstrual calendar:

You may use this, or just a regular calendar, to accurately log how you feel during the month and expecially during your period. After a few months, you will have gathered enough information to show your average cycle length, your common symptoms and your average flow. Any woman who is experiencing pain, weird flow patterns or irregularity should perform this calender exercise. With this info, your doctor can SEE what you're talking about and help you more effectively.

I'd go to the ER right now if I were you. I'm a dude so that freaks me out a bit.
