I want to go on a 3-4 day yoga, meditation and wellness retreat in Asia. Anywhere in Asia is ok. Have any one of you been to such a retreat? Can you please recommend something for me? Thanks.

I just read about a relatively new spa/yoga resort in the country of Bhutan called Uma Paro. It is recommended by Spa Finder magazine.

From the photos, it is in one of the most beautiful settings I've ever seen, with the resort like a Tibetan monastery overlooking the mountains. Bhutan only allows a certain number of tourists per year. The resort offers an array of day trips to see the local sites and habitat and teaches yoga classes daily. I haven't been there myself.

It's expensive, but would be a dream vacation for someone, maybe you.

3-4 days sounds very short, unless you are already in Asia. Most retreats are about 2 weeks long. Check the Yoga Journal or other natural health magazines for all kinds of adresses. Good luck!

I converted in 1974 to buddhism, and zen buddhism has been my primary practice...After several years I began a direct study of buddhist philosophies, culminating in a Bachelors Degree in Buddhist Philosophies and Practice. I think what sparked my initial interest was the complete inability or unwillingness of my "christian" influences to answer questions without demonizing me for the very act of asking...and the more I studied..the more questions...the more answers...and the more I studied! It's been a very interesting journey to say the least...
