This "cheap card" is used in diverse ways.
I get a strong feeling we are all still expected to give them some sort of special treatment because of the events of the W.W.2.
Sorry, but no!
Until recently I worked as a Reg.Nurse and I have never met such difficult patients as the generation who survived the war their children and g.children.
Arrogant, selfish, demanding people, who have so much pent up frustration and anger with no regard for the feelings or needs of anyone else.
If an elderly Jew was admitted, many times you would be called aside by the family, just to let you know that Mother or Father needs your "special attention.
Because "you would not believe what they suffered, blah, blah, blah."
Okay, they went through a lot during the war but it was 70 plus years ago.
My Uncle died in the war and my son's American grandfather did too.
Get over it!
But you can't say that professionally.
Unfortunatly.
I've never had a Cambodian come and tell me about need for special treatment because of Pol Pot!
We have a lot of Cambodian refugees in Australia too. Also many others who have known war and also suffered,Vietnamese,Lebanese etc.
The treatment that they(Israel),are giving the Palistinians is comtemptable and criminal.
Does America or any of its allies, including Australia protest?
No.Because the Jews have done exactly what they did in Germany prior to W.W.2.They have entrenched themselves deeply into the financial and business control of the country.
This seems to be the way it works.
If you look at history they have been thrown out of almost every economically powerful country,at some point in history. Not because they are Jewish by religion, but because of what they, as a people do.
I often wonder why the Pharoah didn't chase them out of Egypt as its claimed he did?
There is no basis for this claim, except the Bible.
Egyptian records show that they asked Pharoahs to help them leave Egypt, needing milatary protection outside Egypts border. Then many returned within a decade because of the famine that hit Israel.
There is evidence of this outside the Bible.
I live in a suburb of Melbourne that has an extremly high Jewish population.
It also has some great cake shops, the best!
One day I was told off for not speaking Yiddish when I was placing my order.
I got my revenge by requesting that the St Kilda council, ask stores to use English not Hebrew in store identification on windows and awnings.
It worked, and I hope it cost them all hundreds of precious dollars to do so!
I often wonder where do many get their money as 6 of 9 fathers of Jewish families in the complex I live in,never appear to go to work. Yet all have new 4 wheel drives.
Its a puzzle!
I dont consider myself as antisemetic. I think they just expect to use thier "cheap card" far too much, and too often.

It is quite simple.
If you believe Israel, the Jewish homeland, has no right to exist or to defend itself, then you are expressing anti-Jewish feelings.
Being anti-Israeli is simply the "new and improved" old anti-semitism.
When I read some of the "questions" on this site which claim the U.S 'deserved' the 9/11 attacks, I immediately label these people anti-American and pro-Muslim.
Do you see the similarities?

You would have noticed that it has been refined these days to 'anti-jew'. They are careful that the semites in the other Middle Eastern countries don't benefit from this slur. I have NEVER cared that speaking the truth about the inequalities of Jewish treatment would bring that charge.

To the person who claims that a corrolation exists between criticism of Israel and anti-semitism I would ask who commissioned and paid for such research? If it's the ADL then the word impartial doesn't spring to mind. From what I can see on their website they constantly term criticism of Israeli policies like house demolitions of Palestinian homes as anti-semitic. The reason why people are called anti-semitic - especially in the US - is because of the pro-Israel lobby and its wads of cash for politicians and its friends in the media. They only seem to have this sort of influence in the US though to any big degree. They are less influential in Europe though influential enough in Germany (because of war-guilt) and Britain (because of the 'special relationship' with the US and the desire of the politicians (as opposed to the public) to be on message with US administrations. The reality is that both sides in the Middle East conflict had violated UN Security Council resolutions either by the continued illegal occupation of the West Bank, Golan Heights and East Jerusalem (violating Resolution 141) or by acts of terrorism against Israeli civilians. Might I add that I consider terrorism to be the targeting of civilians or civilian infrastructure for political-ends, and in that context I believe both sides are guilty. I am glad that here in Europe public-opinion is much better informed by a more impartial media. I respect the Jewish people and their right to a state, but I also scratch my head in bewilderment that given the great crime committed against them by the Nazis that they seem so impervious to their own failings with respect to treatment of the Palestinians, a people displaced in 1948 from present-day Israel, and still denied a state in all by semantics from Israeli leaders that is not matched by events on the ground including creeping annexation of Palestinian territory via settlement-building and house-demolitions. Other actions seem almost designed to provoke the Palestinians into a response, such as the aforementioned actions but also unexplained shootings of Palestinian civilians. The current destabilisation of the pro-Western Lebanese govt can be largely attributed to the rise in support for Hezbollah consequent on the disproportionate Israeli bombardment of that weak country that has suffered greatly at the hands of its neighbours Israel and Syria. Only dialogue can ultimately resolve these problems - military means have never and will never do so.

Because there is a correlation that most people who attack Israel are anti-Semites and that has been proven in studies. I guess the real question is why do most anti-Semites just admit they are and stop hiding their hatred of Jews by trying to dress up what they are doing as a legitimate discussion when in reality they are just bigots and cowards (well I guess I just answered myself there - lol).
Happy Holidays!!!
It was commissioned by the British Government the study I am discussing and came up with the correlation

It's quite simple, any analysis of Israel would lead to condemnation of Israel, so, the questioning must be dismissed, the questioner labeled, and the sources discredited, anything but accountability.

It's a buzz word. Plus, people equate "Anti-Zionist" with "Anti-Semetic" even though they are quite different.
