This is a fact of life.
The more you want something; there is more resistance for you to get it; as if, what you want is being pushed away. Like 2 magnets with the same polarity pushing each other away.
The less you want something, the more likely you will get it. Like 2 magnets with the polarities reversed, drawing each other together.
The world would be a nicer place, if there was less 'wanting'; and the reward would be that we would get those things we stop wanting anyway!

Human nature is contrary hon. The Bible says that the eyes of man are never satisfied. Meaning that the more you have, the more you want, and you will never be completely happy or find happiness in material things.

When the Word talks about us having an evil nature.
It's talking about the selfish, greedy, nature of our
physical body.
"The spirit is at war with the flesh!"
Religion is all about recognizing and using the spirit in you, to overcome the lusts of the body.
PEACE

You need to look at why you REALLY want it. Filling your life with things you believe you need to make yourself happy won't take the place of self-fulfillment.
