Yesterday I was thinking about my Dad who died just a few months ago. The funeral home person came to my house with a candle that had my Dad's name, picture, date of birth and death on it. They arrived minutes after I got home from the cemetary. Now this morning, I open my presents from my kids. One got me a James Brown CD. I got online and learned that James Brown died this morning. I have so many of these coincidences happening I wonder, Is this some kind of sign for me?

I don't much believe in coincidence. Things happen for a reason. My husband died 8 years ago and since then, I find dimes nearly every day. I vacuum; five minutes later, there's a dime in the middle of the floor. A dime on my car seat. A dime on the table seconds after I cleaned the table. I know a lady who, in the dead of a Michigan winter, found fresh rose petals on her pillow. She'd just started dating after her husband's death and was concerned about it. There's a lot we don't understand but coincidence? Not often. Have a nice Christmas.

This is a link to a weblog by a very nice person who is also a famous writer. She recommends a book called "The Year Of Magical Thinking" by Joan Didion.

The comments section has a lot of decent, sensible people talking about this. Most of us went through it ourselves.
What is happening to you, now, happens to many people, after bereavements. It's called "magical thinking". People who go through it are NOT crazy, it's normal for some people, but it probably doesn't mean that you are really receiving signs.
(I think it might happen especially to people who lost a parent, and who feel that they need someone to advise them, so they wish that they had signs to guide them.)
Sometimes people who don't mean well at all take advantage of the bereaved by saying that they can interpret signs for them, or even that the bereaved person is being punished and they can make it stop - and that is a scam.
One time someone asked me how to know whether a sign was real and whether it came from a good source or a bad one. It was a kind of emergency so I had to really think about it.
All I could think of to say was, if you remember or imagine a good person who really loved you and then think about whether that person would want you to believe that something that had happened was a sign, and whether they would want you to do anything because of what had happened, then that might help.

Depends on what you think the sign is for..
Sometimes due to circumstances out of our control we see signs in things that may be coincidences. This might result from our own subconcious trying to bring our attention to something important. It's really a matter of how You look at it. Life is full of events that may or may not be interconnected. Sometimes when we lose hope or faith we tend to see everything as connected, perhaps in an effort to find balance again.
Sorry for the loss of your father. Perhaps he's in a better place now, free of the painful confines of this world.

I believe you already know the answer to this.
In mathematics, when two angles are said to coincide that means that they come together. Coinicidences like this are not chance.
