Because Israel, like the US, believe they are above the law - or that the law shouldn't apply to anyone. Both Israel and the US are members of the UN, and seek to use the UN when it suits them - when the US wanted a mandate to attack Iraq, and when Israel wants preassure put on Palestine. However, when it does not suit them they completely ignore the UN and go ahead anyway. The US went ahead with their war, and look where that has got them. Israel have made Gaza and the West Bank into ghettos, bringing untold suffering to the people there, and Israel had an illegal war with Lebanon which achieved NOTHING other than the destruction of practically the whole country. The UN does NOT ONE THING to stop them, other than issue a slap on the wrist. If you can't live by the rules of the UN then LEAVE. The US are always complainign about it anyway - if you don't like it then give up your seat and your veto and go it alone. If not then live by the rules.

The UN is a toothless, useless organisation - worse than the league of nations ever was. It should be scrapped and replaced with an organisation that has REAL power - power to actually punish ANYONE who goes against its will - whether they're the US, Israel or any other rogue state.

properly, the UN can desire the embargo to end all it needs -- even nonetheless that is not a "UN rule", no remember what you've gotten study someplace else. And, somewhat frankly, as long as Cuban-human beings stay the margin of victory in an tremendously super swing state, neither party will touch the sanctions. The veto of the risk-free practices Council addresses precisely what you're speaking approximately -- how can there be an useful UN whilst a important capability will do what it needs? The international locations of the international won't constantly agree on issues, yet on risk-free practices themes, in the event that they surpassed some thing that the U. S., or the united kingdom, or Russia, or China objected to (France isn't as important because it became whilst the UN became based), then that us of a could do what it wanted besides. So, the end results of the veto is that as quickly as the UN risk-free practices Council does bypass some thing, and that is not vetoed, it has in the back of it the will of the international's maximum useful international locations, and that's significant. something much less is largely a chew of paper.

Because Israel thinks it can get away with anything, specially with the US to cover up for it. Why should Israel care about violating rules, it has the biggest superpower backing it. Isreal is just a Middle East bully and yes it has suffered a lot but guess what, it made Palestine suffer first. So Israel is in no way a victim, its in a tit for tat situation with neither side accepting its faults. They need to realize this and yeah fix that attitude also.

The only thing Israel is guilty of is fighting for its survival!!!!
It endures suicide bombings on passenger buses, school buses, malls, cafes, nightclubs, stores, streets, restaurants, schools, hospitals, pizza joints, and on... Israel also endures daily rocket attacks fired by Arabs from land which was traded for peace just a year ago!!! These rockets are fired into towns, hospitals, schools, etc.
As the saying goes:
If the Palestinians put down their weapons, there will be peace. If Israel puts down its weapons, there will be no Israel.

Why do people pick on Jews so much? Yet another person who see's any questioning of a Jewish person or Israel as being anti Jew. America is the same now that it's Jew'd down.

Israel is the Nazi state of the 21st century. Their tactics are deriven straight out of the Nazi handbook. USA, UK and Australia are big readers of this Nazi handbook as well.

I don't know. Maybe you should try to argue how the UN itself is democratic. (Hint: Its not. Most censorships of Israel are a result of cetain non democratic anti Israel voting blocks of countries pushing the issue through. This is why it happens so often and to get them to censur other countries is like trying to pull teeth.)

100% of the Americans do not know UN Resolution 242. If they knew and understood the depth of it, they would have kicked the Israeli thugs out of this world. Israel uses America's Veto power and the stupid admin after admin lets the murderers use American power. That is not democracy but thuggery, criminal activity exactly lilke Hitler's.

What? Did you mean AND instead of ARE? Israel is far from the only nation that regularly shuns UN sanctions and rules. Why do people like to pick on the Jews so much?

BOTH sides do dude. Palestinians fire rockets into Isreal or send the young and dumb to go blow themselves up . YOU KNOW that Isreal will of course retaliate. That's when you all scream about "the terrible injustice, the oppression done to us by those terrible Isrealis". LOOK IN THE MIRROR dude!!! The blame starts there. Do you think that people can't see that huge double standard that arabs seem to have? Your own people kill each other over what sect they are and what do you say about that??? SILENCE, always SILENCE. If you can't cast that critical eye of yours in both directions then we have no common ground to talk about. Simply, EVERYONE'S s

I think you meant to use the word sanctions, not rules.

To be fair, if you are going to point out how one country violates UN sanctions you should also point out how the opposing countries or governments do the same.
