The evidence is that there have only been three women who have been CEO of a fortune 500 company. Ever.

Gets a little better as you move down the ladder, but the upper ranks and the boards of directors in the USA are still predominantly, if not totally at most companies, white guys.

Women are the hands that shape the future. As a woman trains her children, she is making the future for everyone. So it is women themselves who create the glass ceiling and women themselves who can shatter it.
