Hello

The scale is
1 m : 2 cm
=> 2 cm in drawing represents 1 m in reality
=> 1 cm in drawing represents (1 / 2) m in reality

The dimensions in the drawing of the room is
6 cm by 4 cm
Therefore in reality the room has dimensions
6 * ( 1 / 2) m by 4 * (1 / 2) m
or (6 / 2) m by (4 / 2) m
or 3 m by 2 m

Hope it helps :)

1 m : 2 cm scale means 2 centimetre length in your drawing is 1 metre in real world. If you calculate, your 6 cm side of the room becomes 3 m in real world and 4 cm becomes 2 m. So the size of the room is 3 m X 2 m.

The scale used is: 1m:2cm. This means that every 2 centimeter in the drawing is 1 meter in reality.

One side of the room is 6 centimeter in the drawing; this is 3 times 2 centimeter in the drawing, thus 3 times 1 meter in reality -> 3 meter.

The other side of the room is 4 centimeter in the drawing; this is 2 times 2 centimeter in the drawing, thus 2 times 1 meter in reality -> 2 meter.

The actual room is thus 3 by 2 meter.
