I know that in Tassie there was a white Christmas in about 1991, it isn't all that unusual in the snow country there.
At the moment it looks as though we are getting normal summer storm patterns, this one is bringing a big cold front, but it is not unusual to have rain and cool weather on Christmas Day.

Where abouts in Australia? I'd love a white Chrissie, just once. It would be so beautiful. The weather is definitely doing some weird stuff of late.

What's up with the weather? Well let's just say that the scientific community will be convening in California in February to discuss the crisis state this planet is in currently. They suggest unless some drastic measures are taken now, that within 20 years we will have thousands of plant and animal species extinct. What is up is this, our entire eco-system is stressed to the max. We are going to continue to have extreme and unusual 'weather oddities' from now on, sad to say.
