Get a shoe box & put a hole in the lid, just big enough for the mouse to climb into. Put some bread in the box & sellotape the lid to the box. Place the box where the mouse is with the hole at the top. The mouse then climbs into the box to get the food, but cant escape back up the sides.

peanut butter is what you need to use. place a gallon glass jar next to a box. put some peanut butter in the bottom. make sure the box or something is close enough to the jar, so the mice can get to it. the mice try and get the peanut butter and fall into the jar. they can't get out because of the glass jar. this is a live trap. you can put peanut butter on traps also. hope this helps

My mother had mice in her apartment and none of the usual baits in the trap worked. She tried peanut butter and she caught the mouse.

Nuts! Seeds - Sunflower Seeds
Mice don't actually like cheese - they will only eat it if there is absolutely nothing else.
Commercially bought mouse poison is usually put onto seeds and pulses.

I agree with the peanut butter... Get the good kind that is thick. The mouse has to work harder to get it off the trigger....
