My grandma thought I was about 4 years old until I turned 14 when she started giving me JC Pennys gift cards...

One year I recieved a red shirt that was 4 sizes too small (from the childrens area- size 10) and it said something stupid like: "Because I can" then there was this stupid sing along disney cd also.

I think any gift is still a gift, no matter how much you dislike it. Especially if it's coming from a guy. Guys don't go shopping often, and unless you specifically tell them what you want, don't get mad if it's not what you wanted. Be happy that they made an effort, rather than just blowing it all off...

Hon, my ex used to point at things and tell me to buy that for my present...then I could wrap it, and put a tag on it saying it was from him. (Gee..how thoughtful of him..)

Hmmm...I'm thinking exchange the shirt, wear it as a sleep shirt, or just wear it every time you see that person so they realize it's a tad on the baggy side. At least they GOT you something, and didn't expect you to get your own present.

Came from a boyfriend, it was a heart shaped piece of blown glass, problem was he'd gotten his x-wife's daughter the exact same gift. (I didn't find out for a couple of weeks)
Its the thought that counts and I felt that he didn't really think much of me.

It's the thought that count's. So I don't think there is a bad gift. If they can take the time and money to give me something, I can enjoy that, if not the gift itself
