Happiness is based more on what you know and are comfortable with than freedom to choose. Besides, even in a free society people conform toone group or another. Everyone from punks to corporate types wear a uniform of one kind or another because they are more comfortable conforming to a group than being truly individual and making their own choices. Look at the crowd at the next concert you attend and you'll see this clearly.

I think yes. And I am sure they know what is freedom but they can't have freedom.

And I don't think they are happily living in there. So many of North Korean try to escape to South Korea( South Korea providing a house and monthely surviving money etc. They try to help N/K in many ways. even S/K treat them nicely but unfortuately they don't feet in sociaty and cause many problems. ) If they get cought, they will be executed not only person who tried to escape but all of his family will be excuted.

You may think they are happy in there. you are so misunderstanding them.

As a non-North Korean, I really wish ppl don't gossiping about North Koreans with misunderstanding.

Good day.

That would depend on what your definition of freedom is. American society is not a free one but rather one that is ruled by fear. I'm sure the North Koreans aren't living in that constant state of captivity.

Probably. But you realize that they're completely isolated from outside world. Typical North Korean grow up learning about 'dear leader' and nothing real about outside world. Only high high ranking officials get little access to foreign ideas. It's very sureal country. It's beyond brain wash and their leaders will go far to keep people from getting any 'ideas.'

Off course they would, look at why they build fortified border like the Berlin Wall just to keep their citizen running to freedom in the South.

Their not happy, they just don't know any better. Their isolated and don't know about the outside world. If they knew about freedom, they'd probably die from shock.

yes they would change. Right now they don't have much, so they're afraid of losing what they have in fear of not having anything at all.....that kind of mentallity saying "well, it's better than nothing"....and although he might be stupid, Kim Jong definately gives the appearance of a strong leader, and that's one of the only things that feeds his people their moral.

peace and love,
rob
