I don’t know why people cry. May be they want spatial attention but they couldn’t found it, it’s a natural reaction to express our various emotions. In my opinion there are two reasons to cry

1) Stress causing chemicals exit your body via tears so you cry to lower your stress level.

2) Its a visual clue to others that you need help.

Crying helps you feel better,

At the moment I want to cry also b/c my parent’s didn’t wish me today on me BIRTHDAY I think they forget but may be not ,they want to surprise me at night. I want to tell you only for that don’t take early decision in any case.

crying is a luxury reflex to release
emotions, weeping & crying are
two different responses,
weeping is special breathing and having
that lump in the throat, a seeping out
of emotions, sobbing or convulsions,
where as crying is a sound of distress
or protest, crying out for attention, where
weeping is more at one with the emotions
of the self..... i would think sadness is more
of weeping than crying, crying is for attention,
like when a child screams & cries that they
do not have there way !!
Shedding tears are distinctions of expressing
different emotions, weeping & crying are two
different expressions........
i hope this helps ......
smile tiny !!
(hugs)
our avatars match !! i should talk !! HA !!!!

Crying is a survival instinct for babies. Babies should expect attention from Mother when they cry. Adults should cry and expect attention from themself or a good shoulder who will listen.
Crying can be a manipulative tool too. Some people learn to get things they don't really need that way.

It is a release of emotions. People cry when they are happy and when they are sad. All very normal.

I wish someone would tell ... That's a brilliant question!

By the way, animals cry too when they are sad. (I saw my dog cry - with actual tears - with compassion when another dog was hurt.) I know that elephants cry with tears.

because our tear gland gets activated and its best let out when our eyes are squeezed. also our body searches for warmth, so we hug ourselves and its called crying.
