Okay,
You can get free music from places like www.myspace.com at the band pages click "download" on a song, and sometimes they'll give you free downlaods, or download the program BearShare, or Limewire and get free music from there
And then when you get the music go to control panel, and click "portable music devices" and you can manually drag and drop the music to the folder.

You can download music from wherever you can get it, but you can't get it onto youriPod because 98SE won't run iTunes.
Best thing you can do with an iPod is sling it in the bin, and buy a sensible mp3 player that allows drag-and-drop. iPods are a load of crap.
