You are so correct, in smite of his shortcomings (as many of us have) he did understand God's message. The sad thing is, many of us understand God's message; however, choose not to adhere to it (for whatever reason). Whether he was an angel or not -- that question can only be answered by the people he's helped. I'm sure its going to be an R&B, hip-hop going away party. He and his music will be sorely missed (well, by some anyway).

Yep, he had domestic issues and he paid for them ON THIS EARTH. Does that mean he should be maligned in death -- I say not!

As far as God asking James to come home, James could have asked to go or decided that this was the time at which he wanted to leave. Some people don't understand death, people go when they are ready. I used to think people just died because it was "their time". As I begin to study spirituality and metaphysics -yes the two can be studied together and make sense. People know when it is their time; we just have to let them go.

My father-in-law was in the hospital and he said he was checking out on Memorial Day -- he did. He waited for his first born to arrive and she told him it was okay to go and she would be alright. People decide when they want to go and for those who haven't decided whether or not they want to go, God chooses the living to let them know its okay to leave. My pastor has a Great-aunt that's in her 90's and every 6 months or so, it looks as if she's on her way out. He said he told her next time, just call him minutes before she check out -- of course he was joking. She's still with us. So we just never know, but those on their way out do.
