Too bad , He will be missed.
Unlike many of today's singers who try to make vocal noises that they hope their audiences will find authentic and soulful, James Brown was the real thing.
James Brown was a great soul singer because he sang from his soul and bared it for all to hear, and the sound was honest and organic.
The man lived hard and often too close to the edge , occasionally falling off it.
Because of his life style and America's turn to Neo-Puritanism he will have his detractors.
Say what you will , but in today's world of cookie -cutter , copy-cat singers James Brown stood out because he was an original and if you mourn his loss for nothing else mourn it for that.
