I believe in the equality of both genders in all matters in life. Adultery should be treated as a civil wrong and not a criminal offense.

In the US no they can not be punished for adultery nor can they be criminally charged. Even though it is morally wrong it is not against the law. I do believe in the equality in gender when it comes to anything law, work, home etc...

Christian laws (BIBLE) Says that if the spouse comments Adultery (Woman Or Man) Then there other spouse has that right to devorse that bond between the two. Marriage is a Union and in the Eyes of God its very clear what is punishable. The Jews use to Stone the person who committed the act of Adultery! In todays christian belief, in most cases either the other spouse can forgive them or Devorce themselfs from that Bond.

If a woman is punished for adultery then so should the man, is he not committing adultery too!

Can't have it both ways, equality in all things, this includes the law, the work place, the home etc.

If you are talking about India then I have no idea but in most civilised countries adultery is not a crime, and neither should it be.
I believe very much in equality of the sexes in law.
Of course in some uncivilised countries adultery by a female carries horrendous punishments while the men are given a pat on the back for being tempted.

But the law should pertain equally to both, although it won't be applied equally, and it shouldn't be. Just the way things are....

some middle jap thoughts and legends like the Bible say that we are in a position to stone them to loss of existence in front of their father's residing house. The Flying Spaghetti Monster would not inspire this. Ramen !
