The Ashes are contested every four years here, and every four years in Australia. Because of this, there can be as little as 18 months between series, as was the case 2005 - 2006, or as much as 30 months, meaning that the next series is here in England in the summer of 2009.

Its ENGLAND who play AUSTRALIA ,UK doesnt have a cricket team and its played between 13 months to 18 months due to the differing seasons in the 2 countries
