yes my girlfriend recieve a 3month shot depo in sept 20th 2006
the doctor say wait two weeks so we did now she is been gain weight and around da middle of october 1 month there was unexpected blood just a little and it stop still gaing weight she feels dizzy ness or something and around november 2 Month it stops
again that weight gain now this is the last month Dec 31 of 2006 now we dont know if she supose to take da shot last week or last month now she gain weight her stomach hurts a little bit now could she be pregnant or somehting cuz i dont think this Depo works they gave her a 3month strong dose and also i dont know when is it last or over. . thank you for your Time

They give you the shot every 12 weeks (3 months). I was on it for three years and had no problems with it. No weight gain, no pregnancy, nothing.
Maybe the shot just isn't right for her and maybe she should not get the next shot when it is due.
If she thinks she could be pregnant (which i doubt) tell her to take a pregnancy test.

I was on Depo for a while. Everything she experienced is normal. Even the bleeding. I gained 20 POUNDS!! After I got off of it I didn't have a period for a year, and I am still not regular. I also lost all of the weight within 2 months of getting off of the shot. I would suggest an alternate birth control. Try the Nuva Ring. There are way too many problems with the shot.

I have a beautifull daughter after having UNPROTECTED sex 3 months after 2nd shot. My lovely daughter is now 7 and turns 8 on july 4th 2007. Be carefull i just dont trust any man made invention 100%

i began the dep. shot after having my daughter and had the opposit effect i didnt stop bleeding for like 8 months when I had her and that i nevertheless bled for like 3 months when I stoped the dep. i dont have faith depo it took my sister 2 years to get decrease back to "time-honored" after being on it for a 12 months.

Please rethink the depo shot.

I was on it for FOUR years and it royally screwed my body up.

I gained weight, I was a witch two weeks before my next shot was due, I spotted at inoppurtune times.

After FIVE years you need a bone density check, that's how much depo screws up your system.
