how do i put songs on it, do i have to wait til its fully charged? its a nano

charge it in full first!

MAKE SURE you fully charge it first, judging from how long ago you submitted this question its probably done now.

After that you must go onto the iTunes site and download the software (iTunes). iPods used to come with a software disc but now they make you download it via the net.

To put songs on it, you can either stick in the CDs and go to iTunes, 'library music', 'file', 'add folder to library' and then select the CD drive folder. OR you can use music that is already stored on your PC and select that instead (for just one file do 'add file to libray' instead.

PS: If you go onto the apple site they have a users guide for nanos which you can download. It tells you how to do everything!

1) Have you installed the software on the cd rom
2) Do you have music downloaded into your iTunes library
3) Is it fully charged

If the above are yes then wait & the iPod will download automatically if no, then you have to disconnect the iPod & do the above mentioned steps prior to hooking it to your pc.

Have you put iTunes on yet? You need to do that. It should be on the disk that came with the iPod

Once it syncrhonizes....it should start to download your iTunes playlist. Good luck!
