I had a level 70 paper mage so I've spent a fair amount of time with this game. Is it good as far as visuals? No, not really but then again it is a free game. I didn't see much activity from GMs as far as events go and I *sure* didn't see much activity when it came to cheaters. Ah, now here comes the fun part..the cheaters. Keep in mind it's been a year or so since I've played but during that time KoL was FULL of cheaters..mainly KOSP macro archers but also people 'duping' items to gain more money. I understand every game is going to have cheaters but it really got out of hand in KoL nearly every harpy spawn would have a macro party there for hours on end and don't even get me started on the KOSP archers hiding in the Abyss walls.
Knight Online is one of those games that could've been great as far as F2P games go...but sadly it was ruined by cheats and lack of GM action.
I agree with the above poster I actually went to Guild Wars once I quit KoL and it is worth every penny in my opinion.
*edit about the 'trojan' problem described below I remember K2 had a problem with the new anticheat software giving false postives on some antivirus applications. Nothing to worry about.

It isn't bad considering it is free---or it used to be. We used to play the free version and had a pretty good time. They used to have fun events every now and then. I like the ease of leveling and getting loot. I like the economic system as well. However, I haven't been there in a long while and heard that it is now very difficult to get on and once you are on you get bumped off easily. We are now playing guild wars. It costs $50 to get the game but there is no monthly fee.

Its much better than K2s version. Events happen pretty often here, but the population is a little low here. Its totally free here too, just some cash items, that's all.
Graphically speaking, this game isn't good. The gameplay is like another other MMORPG, so there's really nothing much special.

The game put trojans on my computer and the graphics were horrible. The gameplay was pretty crappy too so I just trashed it immediately.
