can I CREATE a break for myself as an ACOTOR?

is it possible for me to write something and use it to get a role?

Matt damond did it. But he had an Ivy leauge education and really good looks. if you think you can come up with something. I think actors rely mostly on looks. Building up a good body of work and some good conection I would think to be your best bet.
