I am in control. I AM. It's about choices, unless you do not live in a free society. What happens to me, my body my brain is because of what I choose. Who I spend time with (or not) what I read, what I see, what I view, what I eat .....all of it.
That is only in regards to me as I am blessed enough to have choices.

I'd really rather be sleeping but I can't, the external factor Is my Mom. She came over at 11:30 and didn't leave till 12:30 We already had a really long day but it being Christmaseve an all, I couldn't say no to her. My bad- see 'cause Just before she left I screamed at her over something stupid. Limitations, I gotta be able to set limitations! 'It's late so lets wait till tomorrow'; like why couldn't I just say that.?.

I think you are a product of your own environment you can use this to your advantage or disadvantage. You control your own life
but if you were born rich it might be easier to avoid gangs crime etc then someone from the ghetto.

I definitely control my life along with the events and circumstances.
However, I have a very untraditional education and my thoughts and beliefs are quite different from those of most people.

I'm in control. I make my choices and live by them. But I also recognize that I have been extremely fortunate to be born in a place and time when I have a lot of choices.

wow good question. i think we are a mix of both (typical general science answer). but perhaps we are controlled by external factors.
