Dear Reader,
I would like to control and limit bandwidth of Local Area Network for LAN users via Cisco Routers [IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-I-M), Version 12.2(6), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)]
Is there any access list commands for limiting the assigned bandwidth for each user or NOT? if your answer is negative, please let me know if you know good software for this work too
I can install it on our NAT Server and control the assigned bandwidth for each user.

In 2001, we began using the Cisco IOS CB-WFQ/WRED (Class-Based Weighted Fair Queuing with Weighted Random Early Detection) "bandwidth shaping" mechanisms to define user-constituency traffic classes (ResNet and non-ResNet) and ensure fair-share consumption of UW's Internet link when it is saturated. In 2004, we integrated protocol-type traffic classes into this using the NBAR (Network-Based Application Recognition) mechanism.

CB-WFQ and NBAR are valuable assets in managing bandwidth without the extra cost and complexity of special third-party devices.

When my apartment broadband bandwith limit is reached my isp simply shuts off my connection until either my landlord pays the bill or until the beginning of the new billing cycle you may want to get in touch with my isp tech department they are called http://mstarmetro.net part of the project utopia project in Utah county of the state of Utah.
They might be able to give you some pointers on this.
