Can you recommed me any cheap accomodation in Tokyo that is convenient for me since I am on a wheel chair? I heard that there are families who rent their houses for a week or two?

The advise above is a little bit exaggerated. Though there are indeed capsulehotels with beds like cat-scan machines (http://www.links.net/vita/trip/japan/lodging/capsulehotel/), one night stay costs $30 or less. But I'm afraid that this type of hotels are not suitable for handicapped people. I looked for the sites informing barrier free hotels. (http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~fum/wc-hotel/tokyo1.html), but the most hotels listed up there aren't cheap. The only exception is Tokyo International Hostel. (http://www.tokyo-ih.jp/)

Sorry, there is nothing cheap in Tokyo. To give you an idea, 10 years ago, they were advertising beds that looked like several CAT scan machines in a room and each one of those was $100 a night. Now those beds cost even more.

There are limited accommodations which are designed for dibbled access like wheelchair. Japan is well behind western countries in term of this.(I'm Japanese). But if you don't persist in staying the centre of Tokyo, say 15-20minutes by taxi, there are lots of accommodations some of which have disabled access. I don't have any particular information, but try major hotel chains like Tokyu(already mentioned by somebody), Tobu, which have many chain hotel around Tokyo.
