Not me. But you are right.
Americans have become spoiled and no longer have the right stuff when it comes to national security. True, this war has lasted longer than our participation in WWII. But then again, it's had less than 1% of the casualties.
Furthermore, this period could also be called the occupation period, rather than the war. Christ we occupied germany for what 40 years?
Unfortunately, all too many American's have lost our toughness to endure things like this any longer. We're too soft. Even on the civilian end, we're too damn soft. As civilians, we don't even have to sacrifice anything, and we still can't handle it.
Yes, I'm not blind. Invading Iraq was a mistake, we know that now. They didn't have the WMDs or the nuclear program we thought. But that doesn't mean we can just leave.
There are very real negative consequences for leaving. Just look at what happened when the Soviets left Afghanistan. Eventually, the Taliban took over and aided terrorists who murdered 3,000 people here in the USA. If we leave Iraq in turmoil, the same damn thing will happen there, except they'll have oil revenues to fund the terrorism too!

That is not fair. First of all, I am 17 years old. I don't like BUSH but I can't vote because I'm 17. You have to be eighteen. when Kurds were gassed, this had to do with Saddam not us. Saddam did the Chemical Anfal test. I BELIEVE THE IRAQ WAR WAS NOT HANDLED RIGHT AND I HATE HEARING ABOUT IRAQI GIRLS BEING RAPED BY AMERICAN SOLDIERS OR AMERICAN SOLDIERS DYING! Personally, I hate how President Bush is running our democracy as a theocracy. GOD AND STATE ARE SEPARATE BUT BUSH DOESN'T FOLLOW THE RULES! I know our economy is down, the dollar sucks, foreigners are shopping on Newbury St(the most expensive place to shop), Europeans hate us, everybody hate us, BUT I"M ONLY 17!!!! I have no control and I wish you would not blame me because I didn't have a choice to be born in America or VOTE FOR BUSH. I don't whine, I am very greatful to live in America. I am against war unless IT IS NECESSARY and the Iraq War was not. I am not a liberal or democrat either. I'm a moderate if THAT makes any difference. I know nothing about Israel, I would like to know more..
So, My point being every American doesn't whine and when you talk about americans, THINK OF YOUR PERSONAL AMERICAN FRIENDS! you're talking about them too! Also, which americans whine? You don't even give names, you're just speaking what the general media reports. Anyways, don't blame the American Kids like me! :-D

The reason so many "Americans" are whining about the war is because they know so little about what is going on. The political leaders that these "Americans" listen to are only interested in getting back into power and slandering the President. The press in America (for the most part) is very strongly in favor of the favored politicians of these whining "Americans", so they only report what they wish, or report things in such a slanted fashion as to distort the truth. With our freedom of speech comes the responsibility of each person to educate themselves, so that the slanderers, liars, idiots, and extremists are rendered impotent. But of course that takes effort on the part of all Americans, and as an American, I can say that, for the most part, we are some of the laziest people on earth. Yet another reason why Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911 was such a hit, even though it was filled with misinformation, distortions, lies, and idiotic conspiracies. The thinking and educated public thought that movie was ridiculous.

With the right to freedom of speach also comes the freedom to whine. The US has lost all cultural identity and idea of patriotism. We are a short sited bunch of money grubbers ... for the most part. We lack the attention span and resolve to fight a war ... and we do it wrong. We try to build as we destroy ... no, look to successful warriors. If we feel the need to defend ourselves militarily ... it should be done like the Khans did. Personally I hope Israel builds a few hundred more nukes so when Iran nukes an israeli city, Israel can make the whole of Iraq no longer need street lights to see at night. See, we don't all whine ... I just rant like a maniac.

Hey Gzilla... It is true...im disappointed in the extent that our country is getting involved with foreign affairs related to Iraq. And yes... if you wanna say "whine"...well....I don't really moan and belittle. But I have stated clearly in certain company that Mr. Bush is NOT going to settle a dispute that has been going on for centuries. And figuratively speaking, I think that he has opened Pandora's Box. And once the seal to the box is broken..it cannot be re-sealed. Ultimately, it is my prediction that our involvement in the middle east will lead to an uncontrollable war that will be bigger than the USA can handle. I predict that the devastation will be in Biblical proportions. Free is still an operative word friend.....safe? I don't think safety is possible when you have so many nationalities in one country. And plenty of nationalities who prefer to speak little English and more of their native tongue. Of course as of date, I do have a respect for Israel, because it represents the country of my dear Saviour. That being said..... if we fought wars without a political agenda...but for the purpose of peace and safety...and to help weaker countries.... then may God recognize our hearts and minds..and may it be HIS blessing to give us wisdom how to be of assistance...And to have the smarts as to when we need to back off.

I have nothing against my president. No one is perfect on this earth, mistakes can be made unintentionally or not. Our president is a Christian with high morals and standards. Others speak their mind however in America we have the freedom of speech. opinions are made on things day after day after day. We are not jailed for opinions, thoughts and how we may feel or not feel toward government people because it is a right to do so..

Who's whining now? You have no clue what is going on over here. We are more in danger now then on 9/11 because of the mistakes of Mr. Bush. I never voted for him, but I tried to believe he was doing the right thing, even when I KNEW he was lying. So, Yeah. I was wrong. I admit it. And I am doing what little I know to try to solve some of the problems
The first one is he has stomped all over our personal rights, completely ignoring our constitution which gives us our freedoms. And here you believed he was keeping us free! From this vantage point, he seems to be doing a better job of keeping your country alive than us free.

It seems to me the only whining done on this site is by the supporters of the president. They whine when he is called on the carpet, whine when he is caught in a lie, whine when the news show his lack of knowledge of the English language, whine about those who question the entry into Iraq and lack of weapons of mass destruction, whine, whine, whine. The only thing the Presidents supporters are not whining about is how they too can get into uniform and fight for their beliefs. That they leave to others.

Genetic contamination through cross breeding has been linked to this sort of whining behaviour. However this same disease could be linked to irrational thinking and killing tens of thousands of innocent people.
War was created so that Americans could learn geography.
