the godfather of soul was a total genius, saw him a couple of years ago supporting the chili peppers,he will be missed ,but getting on a bit he must have had a good innings.disregard the wife beating stories, imagine the hangers on and golddiggers he's had to contend with over the years? He drew mostly from column A with a bit too much from column B. Artistically, he can't be touched. Every rocker, every punk, every rapper, and every R & Ber owes something to JB.
Personally, he had his problems and his demons. There's no hiding from that. Suffice to say that whatever he was in private life, as an entertainer, he will be greatly missed.

OMG! Didn't know he passed:( Saw him perform a couple times, absolutely mesmerizing! What a showman! I saw him back in the 90's and he could still do the splits. He will me missed.

I only just found out today, Kinda bad timing for his family and all but all the best for them and hope they still get on also did you know his eyebrows were tattoos.
