Why in the world would my mother give me a ceramic dog vase for christmas? I've never been a ceramic anything person, and I don't have pets because I work out of town. You would think that after all this time, she would know me better.

It's not that I'm mad about the gift, it's just that after so many years, it's obvious that we are still miles apart. I always buy her things that I know she likes. I know her favorite candy, what she likes to read, the things she does in her spare time. And, of course, I would never do anything but say, "thank you."

well, just be happy to have a mom to give you something as many on here have lost their moms and are sad about that.
Happy and Merry.

Yeah I know that I'm going to get some unwanted stuff for xmas too.

Usually after a while of gift giving ppl wind up buy what "they" think is a great gift and are blind sighted as to what you want/need. It's weird but you have to remeber it's the thought that counts and remeber to get the recipt back from your mom so you can exchange it. lol.

Merry Xmas

Just say "Thank You" even if you do not like the gift you received. You can always re-gift or give it away. Be grateful she made an effort to get something for you. What did you get her, anyway?

Maybe she has run out of things she can give you. Only have it out when your mother is around and put it away when your mum is not there. I wish my mum was still alive. I love dog vases. Give it to me . I would love it.

Sounds to me like she didn't take her time looking for a present. After the Christmas party I would have left that shyt sitting on her mantle.

i m m e d i a t e l y. in the previous they cut back up her insides. call an emergency vet and ask what to do, now and lower back they propose feeding the canines bread or something to cushion the glass. Then, they could eliminate it.

In a rush? Pressed for time? I'm guessing she wasn't TRYING to disappoint you.

I don't know, but I do know you are disappointed. Perhaps she was pressed for time when shopping.
