Well you can get into trouble using anything really.
Using P2P programs is a popular part of the "internet". Sadly its not a safe environment and programs like Limewire are riddled with viruses, Malware and other unwanted material.
Take all the appropriate precautions with Firewalls, Virus Scanners and Spyware sweepers. Check out any .exe file before you install.
Some of the downloadable items are pirated or breach copyright. Millions of people all over the world download such material and then illegally upload it to their Mp3 or Ipod. You could be an exception?

It won't if you download & use your files for personal use only. You will get into trouble if you defy the copyright laws or something like that.
P.S.: Use a powerful antivirus program when using P2P programs. It can also get your computer into trouble. It is very possible for you to encounter viruses.

It is rare but it does happen.
"The RIAA has nailed one of the most prolific file-traders in the U.S., filing a lawsuit against 12-year-old Brianna LaHara.
When not at the playground with her friends, "Biggie Brianna" is trading music files from her home in New York. The little girl received one of the 261 lawsuits filed by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) on Monday, according to the New York Post. She may look like a sweet and innocent child, but the RIAA says it's only going after major copyright violators at the moment."

It can if you are using it to download child porn or other illegal files. Be careful of the copyrighted music, movies, etc. I would recommend installing a anti-spyware program or firewall if you're going to use P2P programs. What might appear to be a valid file that you download could be malicious code.

Limewire has each and all the records of your laptop once you used them, in spite of what you deleted. it would not be no longer uncomplicated to track to you. would not advise they're going to, yet they are in a position to. The track industry IS cracking down in this... yet don't be bothered too lots. 40 5 songs shouldn't entice a brilliant form of interest whilst a brilliant form of human beings have downloaded thousands. next time pay on your track such as you're able to and you will no longer could be bothered approximately it. you're ripping off the musicians you like once you scouse borrow their stuff like this.
