Even in Tamilnadu there are many villages and places related to the epic Ramayana.
A detailed study should be undertaken about the archaeological evidence and the stories related to such places.

Yes you can trace the places mentioned in both these Epics geographically today. You will be surprised that Geographically they were correct. Only some names are changed due to continuous onslaught of foreigners. Many of the names are connected with the place of origin like Mythily - daughter of Mithila, or Gandhari, the Princess from Kandhahar, or Panchali from Panchala (Punjab). Even traces of bridge built with the help of monkeys connecting Sethu with Sri Lanka is traceable, now it is called Adams Bridge(!). Dhandakaranya, Panchavadi are still there. Wish you pursue the quest seriously, you will find answer

the adams bridge is truth as mentioned above and also in gujarat there is dwarika and even bhalkatrith where krishna died and those places still exist
